Challenge :

eBay are Squid Solutions’ historic customer. In the many projects we did and still do with them in Europe and the US, the challenge is always to access their 10 petabyte datawarehouse and transform the raw data into actionable analytics.

Results :

Our technology delivers the analytics in record time. Using it, we helped streamline the anti‑fraud process, define marketing strategies for top buyers and sellers, and even worked on the creation of the Best Match search algorithm.

Challenge

Sébastien Robert used to work for eBay where the analytics culture is strong. The challenge was to provide a Web Intelligence solution comparable to what he used at eBay but at the scale of Topannonces.

Results

The SquidBox was up and running in 60 days. Since then, Sebastien redesigned the site’s homepage, reorganized the moderation process, changed the keywords for Search Engine Marketing, and boosted sales of upsells.

Figaro Classifieds

Challenge

As part of a major newspaper group, Figaro classifieds are spearheading the transition from paper to web. The management wanted to align Marketing and IT teams around a shared set of clearly defined, easily readable KPIs. But the organization still reflected the former way of thinking the web as just another channel. All they had were pages and pages of spreadsheets extracted from various webanalytics tools.

Results

The SquidBox was deployed in 60 days with specific indicators for job classifieds. The IT team was renamed Internet team and Marketing is rolling out their new strategy.

Challenge

Logic-immo is a real estate classifieds business with significant revenue from professional agencies. The operate a large pool of sales reps whose job was for years to bring a steady flow of classifieds to the print. Now that the web is taking over the business, they needed to transition from marketing intuition to marketing analytics to focus on results rather than display.

Results

Since the SquidBox is in place, it is used daily to answer all sorts of business questions. These range from optimizing the allocation of sales reps to harmonizing contacts between agencies, all the way to the design of specific, local mobile apps.
